Why do the Mites and Mini Mites Have to Practice on Fridays and Sundays ? - Posted 8/26/08
This is a very valid question as it effects the lives and schedules of many families
At this time, I suspect I have a feel for the answer but I have a call into the Ice Scheduler to learn a little more about the demands on the ice by other users.
The Mini Mites and Mites are the future of our program
With our "Grow Hockey Program" we are going to go out and make a big effort to bring in new players
Most importantly, as a starting point, we need to get the parents an honest answer to this question
We can't commit at this time that we can change this, but we can try
As your Member Elect (which is a fancy word for Your Target) I want you to feel free to fire away. I don't take things personally and welcome your comments. The worst thing that can happen is for members to have concerns and not feel free to express them. You should expect and demand answers to your concerns. Please understand that I am your laison to the board and will put in the time to pursue the answers. Sometimes, we will be able to change situations and other times we may not. Hopefully, you will leave with an impression that we tried.

We have thought a lot about privacy laws and balanced them with the need for helpful information for players, parents, relatives etc. We have decided to give coaches and team parents access to their team page so they may edit and keep the pages up-to-date. Also, team members will be given a password so they may view their team info. This will allow us to put information like email addresse, contact information, car-pooling info etc. without the general public having access to this info.
Right now you will see sample/bogus info - please feel free to contact anyone (see Contact Us) if you have any concerns or reservations or ideas. There is some cleanup to do and we want to make sure we have a seperate page for all rostered players with just the last name and initials.
As coaches select their assistant coaches and team parents please contact me and we will give you your passwords and provide the training you need to keep these team pages up-to-date.
